Social media platforms, especially Twitter, have been and still on fire as Ghanaian netizens embark on an online campaign.
Earlier today, 3rd May 2021, the pathetic citizens of the Republic of Ghana embark on an online campaign with the hashtag #FixTheCountry.
The preliminary reasons for the hashtag are plain, clear and conspicuous, but not vague. The people of Ghana, especially the less privileged ones are always left by the politicians, to rotten after every election despite their pre promises.
The Twitter hashtag is a clear indication that the citizens are now fed up with how the country is always governed, with no development, heavy drawbacks, shortage of water, electricity power load-shedding to bad roads, high rate of unemployment and many others.
Many celebrities joined the campaign, not excluding Actor John Dumelo who doubles as a politician and farmer, beautiful Efia Ofo and many more.
“This is not about attacking specific political parties. This about addressing the problems we have and finding solutions to them. Basic needs of the people are not being attended to. We must protest just to have clean waters better roads, job opport, unities and more #FixTheCountry” Efia Odo
“The same way I am for #FixTheCountry now, is the same way I will be in 2024 when the NDC comes to power and IF things are not going on well as a country. This Country needs to move forward! It’s Ghana first! #FixTheCountry” John Dumelo
