Ghana Comedy Awards 2024: Complete List Of Winners

The inaugural Ghana Comedy Awards took center stage on Saturday, April 20, at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) auditorium, celebrating the comedic talents that have been making waves in the industry. Hosted by a lineup of renowned comedians, including Lekzy Decomic and Clemento Suarez, the event was a night to remember as the winners were honored for their outstanding contributions to Ghana’s comedy scene.

Among the notable winners were MJ the Comedian, who clinched the Comedy Skit Act of the Year award, and OB Amponsah, who was crowned the Most Popular Comedian of the Year. The evening also saw special honorary awards presented to the legendary Hon. Fritz Baffour and a vibrant showcase of performances by artists like Jupitar, Apaatse, and Alapta Wan, adding to the festive atmosphere.

From the rib-tickling antics of stand-up comedians to the creative genius of comic cartoonists and animators, the Ghana Comedy Awards recognized excellence across various categories. Tilapia the Cartoonist emerged victorious in the Comic Cartoonist/Animator of the Year category, while Lekzy Decomic took home the coveted titles of Standup Comedian of the Year and Comedy Special of the Year for his production “Can Pain Message.”
