After reigning supreme as Ghana’s most streamed music video on YouTube since 2020, Sarkodie, Africa’s eminent rapper, has relinquished his throne to the talented musician, Camidoh.
In a momentous turn of events on Saturday, May 11, 2024, Camidoh’s electrifying single, “Sugarcane Remix” featuring King Promise, Mayorkun, and Darkoo, ascended to the summit as Ghana’s most streamed song on YouTube.
Despite Sarkodie’s “Adonai,” featuring Castor, amassing over 97,435,292 views and counting, Camidoh, signed under GB Records, and his “Sugarcane Remix” have surged ahead with 97,448,986 views and counting.
It’s worth noting that while Sarkodie’s “Adonai” was filmed by Nana Asihene and released in June 2014, Camidoh dropped the “Sugarcane Remix” video in June 2022.
