Miss Dumba 2024 Postponed Due to Serial Killings

The Miss Dumba beauty pageant, originally scheduled for August, has been postponed until further notice due to the recent serial killings in the Upper West Region. The pageant celebrates the resilience, empowerment, and potential of young women, showcasing beauty, culture, elegance, and knowledge.
The organizers announced the postponement on their Facebook page, expressing condolences for the victims and their families.
“Our community has experienced a devastating tragedy, losing fathers, brothers, and grandfathers. We are deeply saddened and feel it’s inappropriate to proceed with the pageant at this time. Thank you for your understanding. Together, we will emerge stronger, more united, and compassionate. Miss Dumba 2024 Coming Soon, Inshallah.”
The program aims to promote the culture and customs of the Upper West Region. Last year, Kanbomma was declared the winner of the event, which had 7 Contestants.
