Alikoto Festival 2024 Launch: A New Chapter of Creativity and Culture Unveiled

The highly anticipated launch of the Alikoto Festival 2024 took place on Saturday, 21st September, at Comme ci Comme ça Hotel, bringing together a diverse crowd of media personalities, entertainment industry leaders, and influential social media figures from across the region and beyond. This year’s festival promises to deliver an immersive and innovative experience that celebrates Northern Ghana’s rich culture, art, fashion, and music.

A notable presence at the event was the Municipal Chief Executive of Bolgatanga, Hon. Rex Asanga, who commended the organizers for their dedication to community empowerment through charity outreach programs. He encouraged creatives to continue their efforts despite challenges, emphasizing that perseverance is key to success. His endorsement added an extra layer of significance to an event that already underscored the festival’s commitment to uplifting both art and the community.

The launch itself featured a dynamic array of activities, including photo booths, virtual reality experiences, and FIFA gaming stations, creating an engaging atmosphere for attendees. The highlight of the event was an insightful panel discussion led by Adimazoya Griselda, CFO of Alikoto, and Abachingsa A. Xavier, Event Coordinator, moderated by The Mighty Child Onli MC. The discussion centered on the festival’s vision for 2024, along with a fascinating showcase of how Augmented Reality is being leveraged to promote creative arts.

Architect Reuben Daliwe Agyegelone, representing the festival organizers, took the opportunity to express gratitude to stakeholders for their unwavering support and hinted at exciting plans for the upcoming festival. This year’s theme, “Next Level Unleashed,” sets the tone for an extraordinary experience that aims to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation in the Upper East Region.

What to Expect at Alikoto Festival 2024

Day 1 – Creative Fashion Day (27th December):
The first day will kick off with a dazzling fashion show, the preliminary stages of the Alikoto Talent Hunt, and showcases of the latest trends in creative fashion and lifestyle.

 

Day 2 – Y2K Vibes Day (28th December):
The second day promises electrifying entertainment, including the finals of the Alikoto Talent Hunt and the crowning of the Alikoto King and Queen. A thrilling music concert, a night party, and a karaoke session will keep festival-goers buzzing long into the night.

  3. Alikoto Hi Skuul Rave (24th December):
    A fun-filled event designed exclusively for high school students to celebrate youth culture.

All events are scheduled to take place at the Great Victory Academy School Park, adding a communal and grassroots feel to the festival.
